Henry's Elfin (Callophrys henrici)

The most common elfin species in central North Carolina, these almost tailless hairstreaks are usually found near the hostplants, Eastern Redbud and American Holly. Most similar to the uncommon and local Brown Elfin and Frosted Elfin.
