One of our more common grass skippers, especially in moist, shady areas.

Males and females are quite different (they are sexually dimorphic).

Zabulon Skipper (Poanes zabulon) The males are a pale yellow-orange on the undersides, similar to the related Hobomok Skipper of the mountains, but with more extensive areas of yellow.
