This micromoth is only about 6-7mm long, but has a spectacular red, black, and white striped pattern.

The pattern is even more spectacular from the side when you catch the light just right! (Unfortunately I didn't catch the focus just right, but it's too amazing not to share!)

Little is known about this species, but their habitat is reported to be pine forests. Other related species have been reported to feed on pine cambium as larvae.
