Salvia chionophylla (Snowflake Sage)

Salvia chionophylla (Snowflake Sage)

This plant has a lax habit, making it useful for a hanging basket or evergreen groundcover. Stems are covered with small pale gray-green leaves (like snowflakes), which cascade down and produce small violet-blue flowers in summer. Grown for its attractive foliage (similar to S. chamaedryoides) and lax habit instead of its inconspicuous flowers.

Zone 7, Sun, Dry, 6", blue, summer, native to Mexico
