Falls Lake is much like Jordan Lake. Bald Eagles and Osprey abound in summer. Shorebirding can be excellent if water levels drop in the fall. Ducks are usually not abundant, but some good ones show up. Rare coastal and pelagic birds may show up after hurricanes. Falls Lake extends from Wake County into Durham and Granville Counties areas in other counties are covered here for convenience. Also see the maps for Butner-Falls of Neuse Game Land and Jordan Game Land.
