Common Pear (Pyrus communis)

Often planted in orchards, the familiar pear tree is a small-medium sized tree from Eurasia. It persists after cultivation and occasionally escapes. Unlike the Callery (Bradford) Pear (Pyrus calleryana), Common Pear is not an invasive pest species.
