Aphrodite Fritillary (Speyeria aphrodite)

Aphrodite Fritillary is about as common as the similar Great Spangled Fritillary, but found only in the Mountain region in North Carolina. The uppersides are very similar, but Aprodites have an extra spot near the base of the forewing.
